His start in the US was in Jackson, Mississippi where he was the sole psychiatrist at a county mental health clinic for children and had a roster of over 2000 patients. He has demonstrated excellent clinical and interpersonal skills during his work in Plattsburgh. He has expertise in treating essentially all psychiatric disorders in children and adults. He is fluent in English, Russian and Georgian. He has strong ties to the area.

Dino Santoro, MD

Dr. Santoro is Medical Director of North Country Behavioral Medicine.  He has been in practice since 2007 and is board certified in psychiatry by both the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Santoro has received advanced training in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) through Harvard Medical School, Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC, the Clinical TMS Society, and MagVenture Training University.

He was previously an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Vermont and has lectured on multiple topics in psychiatry. He is currently involved in the training of psychiatry residents in the use of TMS.  He was previously medical director of the Department of Psychiatry at CVPH Medical Center and the Adult ADHD Clinic in Kitchener, Ontario.

Dr. Santoro is fluent in English, and conversational in Spanish, and to a lesser extent, Italian.
